New Kitchen Addition / Renovation

The original kitchen of this cape style home was dark and small. The client's main design goal was to expand the kitchen while infusing the new space with natural light and views to the backyard. The design intent for this project was to see the kitchen serving as the "bridge" of a ship. It serves as the social center of the house with all activities taking place in and around this area. The exterior wall was faceted to allow for views out to the pool area beyond. A new built-in message center and pantry were also incorporated into the design.
